Four checks worth making first
Start with the base vehicle
Service history, MOT history, tyres, brakes, corrosion and major maintenance matter more than how polished the conversion looks.
Test the layout properly
Think about bed setup, storage, standing room, cooking and wet-weather use. A layout that looks clever for ten minutes can become annoying after three days.
Check the conversion
Look for damp, test the leisure electrics, heating and water system, and ask for any relevant gas or habitation paperwork.
Price the whole year
Insurance, servicing, MOT, tyres, fuel, storage, campsite fees, repairs and depreciation all sit on top of the purchase price.
